Description
This OLD style GU multipoint is a one piece locking mechanism conisting of a latch, deadbolt, two rollers and is also supplied with attachments for shootbolts.
Size:
- Backset: 28mm or 35mm
- Distance between rollers: 689mm
- Distance between latch and deadbolt: 62mm
- Case height: 207mm
Operation:
- Lift lever
Notes:
- GU locks are now manufactured with a new style centre case
- The main difference between old and new style is the distance between the latch and the deadbolt, this will sometimes cause problems with strike plates
- The other major difference in the height of the lockcase, although this shouldn't cause any real problems when retro fitting
- Old style cases may have crank ed faceplates
Latch Reversal:
- Push flat bladed screwdriver into small rectangular slot above spindle and pull latch out at same time

The Backset size is A in the diagram
Measure from the the front of the main faceplate (A in the diagram) to the middle of the spindle hole. This measurement is taken when the gearbox is attached to the main front face plate.
Measurement B is the PZ Centre.
