Description

This OLD style GU multipoint is a one piece locking mechanism consisting of a latch, deadbolt and two small hookbolts.

Size:

  • Backset: 40mm
  • Distance between hooks: 1610mm
  • Distance between latch and deadbolt: 62mm
  • Case height: 207mm

Operation:

  • Lift lever

Notes:

  • GU locks are now manufactured with a new style centre case
  • The main difference between old and new style is the distance between the latch and the deadbolt, this will sometimes cause problems with strike plates
  • The other major difference in the height of the lockcase, although this shouldn't cause any real problems when retro fitting

Latch Reversal:

  • Push flat bladed screwdriver into small rectangular slot above spindle and pull latch out at same time

    Perfect fit

The multipoint lock was a perfect replacement for the original item. It's worth mentioning that the lock needs to be trimmed in length to fit the door, but is a simple task.
