Replacement Sleeve for WMS / Avocet Butt Hinge for UPVC Doors

Replacement Sleeve for the double glazing butt hinge from Avocet (previously made by WMS) 

Most doors will have 3 hinges on so it is recommended to change the parts on all 3 hinges.

These are the plastic sleeve bushes which sit at the top and bottom of the hinge pin. Over time these wear away with usage in turn causing your door to drop.
The replacement bushes are easy to fit and will prolong the life of your upvc door.

One of the difficult parts to changing your door hinges is a procedure called toe and heel which makes sure that your doors weight is correctly balanced however many diy-ers are not familiar with this technique.
To help you out we have designed replacement bushes which reduce the need to toe and heel the door in turn making your job a whole lot easier.

What you will receive:

• 2x standard bushes - use these if you are familiar with the toe and heel technique
• 1 x lifting bush - use this at the bottom of the hinge if your door only needs lifting slightly
• 1 x compensating bush  - use this at the top of the hinge if your door only needs lifting slightly

Please note:
if the hinges have been worn for a long time then you may still need to repack your door using the toe and heel method. If you cannot do this then you may need to call a professional to do this for you.
