Description

The Saracen FM deadlock gearboxes are often found with the code 05060 or 05058 on the shootbolt extension sockets.

Gearbox mechanism only. Shootbolt extension arms can be bought by clicking here

Deadlock mechanism systems consist of shootbolt bars and a unique central gearbox with a deadlock. The shootbolts fit into the the gearbox mechanism with a teeth fitting.

Available in backsets:

  • 20mm - those with 05060 printed on the extension socket
  • 22mm - those with 05058 printed on the extension socket

 

Available with latch size:

  • 9.5mm

  • 11.5mm

 

You can find the latch size on the end of the latch. See picture below:

Espag Lock Backset Measuring Guide

  

 SIMPLE STEPS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT FOR YOUR WINDOW LOCK

 

    

    

 

To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.

 

The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

    Good website (item clearly described), good service (delivered within 2 days) and good price (very competitive). I used the 05058 model to replace an “AUBI” gearbox that had failed in a uPVC window fitted 15+ years ago. A simple like-for-like switch once I’d got the window open ... I had to remove the surround and drill out a section of the frame so I could lift a bolt that was stuck in the closed position. [There must be a better way!]
