Returns & Refund Policy

 

RETURNS POLICY: We try to give as much information as possible about our products on our site and encourage customers to contact us if they are unsure about the product they are buying. Please note that some items are cut to the customers requirements, such as gaskets, and therefore cannot be returned. If you are unsure if it is the correct product then contact us for assistance.

 

Timeframe for unwanted goods: We offer you 10 calendar days to cancel any item from the day after you receive your order. You must then return the Goods within 14 days of the cancellation.

 

Reasons for return process: we will accept returns if the Product is defective, or the Product is not as described, the Product is not suitable or its just unwanted.

 

Damaged goods: If you have received a damaged or incorrect item then contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We may ask you to provide a photograph by email which will speed up the process and get parts replaced.

 

Contact info: In order to return an order, please contact us first by either emailing office@handlesandhinges.co.uk or by Phone on 01204 652211. We may be able to resolve the problem without incurring unnecessary postage and make the process easier for everyone. We will advise you on the best course of action to keep the process as simple as possible.

 
Returns and exchanges: You must take care to ensure that the goods are in a good condition and properly packaged so that they will not be damaged while in transit and also to get a receipt of your postage. Handles & Hinges cannot be responsible for items that are lost on return. If the product is found damaged or used beyond what it takes for us to reasonably inspect it, then we may reject a refund. You are responsible for the cost of returning an item to us that you no longer want.
 
If you are returning an item for a refund we will refund you MINUS our original delivery cost and will not reimburse the cost of you returning the item to us.
 
Should you be returning a faulty product or an item which was sent in error then we will refund you the return postage costs and will also cover the costs for sending the replacement item(s) to you. We will advise you on the best method to return faulty or damaged items when you contact us.
 
We do understand that you need to open a packet to try the product and this is perfectly acceptable and we can reseal them, but please try not to rip it open like a possessed demon using stanley knifes, pliers or hacksaw blades etc that may scratch the products.
 
We won't accept returns where the product has been thrown in the back of a van for week with a box of tools on top and then returned to us looking like a garage clearance. We wouldn't send a product out to you like that and expect the same courtesy back.

Our Returns Process: We aim to process any returns within 3 working days of receiving them. As long as the returned items meet our refunds conditions your refund will be with you 24-48 hours after your return is processed, depending on your card issuer or payment method. All returns will be inspected as we expect the product to reach us in perfect condition. If the product is not fit to be resold then we reserve the right not to issue a refund.
