Description
VERSA Inline/Offset Espag with 21mm backset and 16mm face plate.
Also available with 13mm faceplate or 25mm backset.
This espag lock is an ideal replacement if you are not sure what length of lock you need for your window or even if its an offset or inline system.
This lock fits all. All you have to do is follow the 2 steps below and you will find a lock to suit. The Versa lock comes longer than you need and there are marks on the mechanism to show you where to chop it down just using a hacksaw!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to postage contraints this item can only be sent via courier and not through the normal mail.
Step 1
Measure the distance between the edge of the frame and the middle of the bolts that hold the handle on your window. This will give you the back set, this will be 20mm, 22mm or 25mm. Choose the backset in the drop down box above - if your backset is 20mm or 22mm then select the 21mm option.
Step 2
Measure the width of the rail and choose that from the drop down box above.

SIMPLE STEPS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT FOR YOUR WINDOW LOCK
To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.
The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

Dead good. Easy to fit. But don't buy the keeps to go with it. The old ones on our windows were a much better design. Use them instead.

Perfect replacement
Thank you so much for your help with ensuring this was the lock I needed. Fitted last night by the light of a head torch!! Slight adjustment of the keeps, reuse of the screws from the broken one and it was the perfect length without cutting down but the marks for cutting were clear (it does come in one piece). Really appreciate the quick, clear responses when checking. Used to replace an offset shootbolt lock like this one https://www.handlesandhinges.co.uk/offset-offset-upvc-window-lock/ There is a removable piece that converts it from inline to offset. Plenty of mushrooms to ensure you can get the keeps in a good position. Extremely happy with the outcome.
