The Backset size is A in the diagram
Measure from the the front of the main faceplate (A in the diagram) to the middle of the spindle hole. This measurement is taken when the gearbox is attached to the main front face plate.
Measurement B is the PZ Centre.

Winkhaus Cobra lock
I needed a replacement door lock mechanism for an old uPVC door that was at least a decade old. I contacted Handles and Hinges and gave them some rough dimensions (not knowing exactly what was required). Rebecca from the Handles and Hinges office guided me through everything and eventually found me the right lock to fit my door. It fitted perfectly and, after some tweaking to my door jamb, is now fully secure again. It was fitted in less than 10 minutes. Some other companies couldn't identify the lock and offer a replacement. It came very well packaged with a small plank to avoid bending in the post. Thanks Handles and Hinges.

Door lock
Delivered quickly and easy to fit though I had to chop a few inches off each end as it was too long. It works perfectly.

Easy replacement, just had to cut excess from both ends with grinder. well pleased.
