Espag Lock Backset Measuring Guide
SIMPLE STEPS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT FOR YOUR WINDOW LOCK
To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.
The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

The old lock was not working ( that’s was what we guessed) ordered a new one, after taking out the old one and measuring it, the new one is perfect, did the job a treat, the windows will need replacing at some point. So the new lock keeps the house safe, till we can replace the windows,

Great replacement
Honestly didn’t think I’d be able to replace this on my window that was installed way back in 1991. Thanks to the measurements and diagrams I was able to confirm this would do it. Fitted like a dream.
